About me, my name is Mehboob & I’ve been working with computers in a variety of roles for many years.  My first job was developing websites using classic HTML – sensational at that time, back when everyone was still connecting to windows.

From there i moved onto several different technical roles, including application and web developer, tech support, systems administrator, business analyst, Jr SharePoint Adminstrator and, of course, DBA.  Working as an Application and Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator,IIS web server, Sharepoint server 2007 & 2010, business object report and data integrator server etc and also SQL Server database which is using SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008. It is my responsibility 24×7 to maintain MS SQL Server security, performance monitoring and optimization techniques, indexes, constraints, transactions, file groups, stored procedures, triggers, cursors, locking, query tuning & handling databases ranging from MB, GBs to TBs in size. Having the opportunity to “Work with so many Country’s, city’s, and folk’s” allowed me to realize that my interests lie with databases, BI(Microsoft-IBM) & SharePoint Server .

In my current role at Japanese Company, i working as Application & SQL Server administrator on the BI and SharePoint team. Among other things, I’m currently in the process of building a massive enterprise database for warehouse. In my previous role, I had the opportunity to work with large, high volume, high performance SQL Server databases (VLDB’s).  I’ve learned a lot in my time with this company, and I try to share some of what I’ve learned via this blog.

I’ve been working with the SQL Server platform for many years, and I’m still constantly learning new things.  I don’t profess to be a SQL “guru,” but I do have a passion for what I do.
